Some Older Fashion Trends Making a Comeback

Sponsored

One thing we all know about fashion is whatever was trendy in the past will eventually become trendy again if you wait long enough. There are so many trends I always adored and am so glad when they make a comeback. On the other hand there are some older trends I am not a big fan of. So let’s explore some older fashion trends making a comeback today.

  1. Chunky Sneakers

Chunky sneakers are back from the 2000,s and it seems like everywhere I look I see them. Now let’s not be mistaken into thinking I like them because I am not a fan.  They can be cute on young adolescent females but that’s pretty much where it begins and ends.

  1. Bum Bags

Back from the ’90s are the Bum Bag aka Fanny Pack. There is no denying that these little beauties can be quite convenient, but for a fashion statement I don’t think so. I see them more as a utility item rather than a fashion statement but hey in the right place at the right time with the right outfit, maybe?

  1. Mom Jeans

I always liked moms letting their hair down a bit and why can’t they wear jeans? After all they look great, are so comfortable, and nothing is more durable than denim, and with the right outfit, they can still turn heads.

  1. Bike Shorts

I always liked bike shorts on a woman and they just seem like a more comfortable legging to be honest. Now do not get me wrong bike shorts are not for everyone and there is a time and place for them, but I for one am glad to see them make a comeback.

  1. Corduroy

Corduroy has had more than one moment in the sun in my lifetime, the 70’, 80’s, and 90’s come to mind right away. If done right it can be very fashionable and oh so soft. I am glad to see it come back and think it can work for many different occasions.

  1. Scrunchies

I am not going to lie to you. I was always a big fan of scrunchies. They are so pretty in hair or even on a  wrist. I mean who many other accessories can double as jewelry? I’m glad they are back and hope to see them around for a while.

  1. Silk Scarves

I feel almost as good about silk scarves as I do about scrunchies. Gorgeous, versatile, and just plain fun. Glad to see them back.

  1. Flared Pants

Flared pants aka Bell Bottoms are popping up in a lot of high fashion places and the public seems to like them. I think having had to endure seeing them in the early 80’s that has just left a bad taste in my mouth that I cannot get out. And to be honest, I should not be the one to judge, but if you ask me this is one trend better off left for dead.
