The metallic trend was first introduced to the world in the 1930s and was reserved for Hollywood Starlets.  People loved that shiny, metallic look and it soon became very famous. The metallic fashion had become a hit in the 70s with a hit disco song, “dancing queen”, which helped metallic fabrics gain more popularity. More colors were introduced in metals. Due to the sudden decline of disco around 1976, metallic fabrics became outdated. Since then, metallics have appeared many times at different fashion shows and events. In 2013, metallics made another comeback. Silver and gold proved to be a big hit on the red carpet in early 2014. Designers constantly experiment with this trend, and in the collections of spring/summer of 2014.

Many celebrities adopted this fashion because of its shiny look. They have also gained popularity in people through accessories. Metallic shoes, bags, nails, and makeup came in trend to compliment the outfit and make a strong style statement. If styled right, wearing metallic attire with the right accessories can add a taste to your look. It’s still in fashion in 2021as  classy silver or gold metallic top looks great with a snug skirt. Add a pair of shimmering heels with your metallic dress for giving some extra shine to your look. Finish off the look with a pair of shimmering earrings or a handbag–or both. Or if you want to make it more comfortable you can wear this with leather pants or skirts.
