Hair, especially colored hair, demands frequent maintenance and special attention. However, exercising caution when it comes to how you wash and dry your hair might help you take better care of it. You can effectively improve the health of your hair and keep your magnificent, brilliant hair color by making a few simple changes to your usual hair care routine.
1- VASELINE PETROLEUM JELLY:
Although it may seem odd, petroleum jelly can help prevent split ends and give your hair a shinier appearance. Sun, wind, and even swimming pool water can dry out your hair and cause split ends. To prevent split ends, just rub some petroleum jelly into your palms and apply it to the ends of your hair.
METHOD TO APPLY ON HAIR:
Using your finger, apply a pea-sized amount of Vaseline. Vaseline should be rubbed into the roots of your hair first, then smoothed down the length of your hair to the tips. Leave the Vaseline treatment on your hair for a few hours or overnight, covered with a towel or wrap. It is the most followed tip for hair treatment. Rinse and wash your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo.
2- MAYONNAISE:
Mayonnaise is marketed as a natural hair treatment that can leave your strand feeling nice and smooth. While this hair treatment is particularly for persons with naturally curly hair, it may also be beneficial to others. Mayonnaise is a liquid that is considered an oil. Canola or soybean oil, egg yolks, vinegar, and lemon juice are the main ingredients. Some people claim that using mayonnaise can help your hair growth as well. L-cysteine, an amino acid found in mayonnaise, is likely to be the culprit.
METHOD TO APPLY:
Make sure your hair is wet. Apply 1 cup of mayonnaise to your hair, starting at the roots and working your way out to the ends, using a wide-tooth comb to ensure even coverage. Wait 20 minutes after covering with a cap. Rinse well before shampooing as usual.
3- APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:
In the United States and Canada, apple cider vinegar refers to a non-alcoholic beverage produced from apples that is unfiltered, unsweetened, and unpasteurized. In the United States, it is most commonly known as “cider.
Because of its ability to cure a range of scalp disorders, such as flaking, dandruff, and psoriasis, some supporters believe apple cider vinegar (ACV) should be included in everyone’s hair care routine. Others have claimed that it can help with hair growth. The natural acidity of ACV is thought to help smooth down the cuticle of a person’s hair, promote knots and tangles to fall out, and minimize frizz.
METHOD TO APPLY:
Stir a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a cup of water. After shampooing and conditioning your hair, evenly distribute the mixture throughout your hair, massaging it into your scalp. Allow it to sit for a few minutes. keep in mind it has a sharp smell, Rinse it thoroughly.
4- RICE WATER:
Rice water is the sticky water that remains after the rice has been boiled or soaked. It is considered to make hair smoother and more glossy, as well as speed up hair growth. Women in Japan throughout the Heian period (794 to 1185 CE) had floor-length hair that was kept healthy by soaking it in rice water, according to the study.
METHOD TO APPLY:
Shampoo your hair and then wash it. Pour rice water onto hair after properly rinsing with tap water. The rice water should be massaged into the hair and scalp. Set the timer for up to 20 minutes. Using warm water from the tap, thoroughly rinse hair.
