Danbury’s Top Boutiques

Connecticut is well known for top boutiques especially when you consider affluent towns like Greenwich, Darien, and Westport.  There is however a hotspot of top boutiques alive and well on Main Street in the northern city of Danbury.  With a very diverse culture, the boutiques of Danbury boast fashion from Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, and more. Three of our top boutiques are within 100 yards of each other and that was great.  I spent the day browsing these absolute goldmines and I am going to share with you the top boutiques I found in Danbury.

Moda-brazil-by-elis'angela

Moda Brazil by Elis’Angela – 15 West Street Danbury I (203) 818- 3309

Nestled right on the corner of Main Street and West Street, this boutique with a Brazilian flavor has all the trappings of a top 5th Avenue establishment.

From the moment you walk in you are greeted by smiling staff that are eager to help you explore their amazing inventory.  I can tell you the selection does not fail to deliver as the shop boasts rows and rows of gorgeous dresses, blouses, slacks and so much more. I felt like I had stepped back in time as I watched the staff treat every customer like royalty.  The décor is first class and even though the store is stocked beyond belief everything is nicely on display and well within reach.I would suggest taking advantage of the helpful staff however as they can quickly lead you to your desires.  Another great aspect is ample parking right in front so you won’t waste time getting down to the business of shopping and for all these reasons Moda Brazil gets high marks for Danbury Boutiques.

 La Moda Boutique – 9 Main Street Danbury I (203) 744-0102

I found this hidden gem quite by accident and I have to say I am truly glad I did. From the outside, this boutique is very nice, with a large window full of trendy Colombian-inspired outfits. Then to my amazement, I found I could park almost right in front for free. Something hard to find on Danbury’s Main Street.

But when I walked in my amazement turned to complete delight. What appears to be a small boutique from the street opens to a large expanse of beautiful dresses, slacks, blouses, shoes, and accessories for all ages.  I would suggest putting aside some extra time because the selection of high-quality garments is more akin to much larger shops and take time to browse. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, warm, and eager to help and this makes the experience all the more enjoyable. If you are looking for something unique and special I would suggest La Moda Boutique as a great place to start.

 Bem Bonita Boutique – 240 Main Street Danbury I (203) 778-2181

Bem Bonita is one of the first ethnically inspired boutiques in Danbury and they have endured because they never fail to deliver. The shop has a Brazilian influence as the name would suggest, but the selection is so much more.  When you enter you are greeted by a warm, knowledgeable, and attentive staff

The décor is very reminiscent of a top 5th avenue boutique with a big selection of trendy dresses, blouses, slacks, jeans, shoes, jewelry, and so much more.  But the gorgeous inventory is what took my breath away. Clearly, their buyers have a finger on the pulse of the fashion industry and they hit the mark on almost every item in the store.  You will need to contend with crowds as this place is very popular for obvious reasons. I would strongly suggest putting Bem Bonita in your plans for your next shopping adventure. It is truly worth the trip.

moda-colobiana

Moda Colombiana – 238 Main Street Danbury I (203) 616-5496

I luckily came across Moda Colombiana accidentally as I was running to another photo session. It is a fairly new boutique Colombian inspired and they definitely understand fashion.

I was very impressed with the quality and amount of inventory they have. With a stunning array of dresses, blouses, jeans, and slacks they top it off with a shoe section that would rival any shoe warehouse.  The endless lines of beautiful heels, wedges, sandals, and boots will keep your attention for a long time.

The inventory is visible and accessible so you can quickly find what you desire. The space is much larger than appears from the outside and the décor is retro.  When you walk in you are greeted by the owner who is very warm, helpful, and knowledgeable, and that makes the experience so much better. If your looking for quality, price and selection be sure to put Moda Colombiana on your list of destinations. Definitely worth the trip.

Danbury is well worth the trip for top boutiques

If you are serious about finding great fashion at even better prices then Danbury is well worth the trip. The parking is simple so you won’t waste time and money on that. Put aside at least 3 to 5 hours if you plan on hitting all the boutiques just on Main Street and get ready for a great day of shopping.
