Organic Lip Balm Step #1
The first step is to gather the materials and tools you will need to make this balm.
Step #2
The next step is to set up your double boiler. For that, you need to fill a medium-sized pot with water (3 cups would be enough) and set it on the stove to boil. Once it starts boiling, place your double boiler on top of the pot.
Step #3
Now add the 2 tablespoons of beeswax to the double boiler to melt. Make sure to stir it occasionally with a chopstick or spoon until you see that it’s completely melted.
(Tip: Incase you don’t find a double boiler, you can create your own by placing a heat-proof glass bowl on top of the pot)
Step #4
Now, in the melted beeswax, add the 2 tablespoons of shea butter and the 2 tablespoons of coconut oil to the double boiler. Stir that mixture again until you see everything is melted and combined.
Step #5
The next step is to add the oils. For that, remove the double boiler from the heat and stir a little. Then add ¼ teaspoon of oil of your choice, and 5 drops of essential oil. Mix it well and its already!
Organic Lip Balm Step #6
The last step is to pour and let it cool. Now carefully pour the mixture you have made and pour it into the chapstick tubes. Once the lip balm gets cool, then add the lids. That’s all!
